I used to ride BMX when I was significantly younger, it was fun. Now that I'm olden my wrists enjoy the cushy suspension action of my front fork.

Plus, if I really wanted to, I could go ride singletrack with it.

I ride a DJ bike mostly because I like the geometry and the looks. It gets used mostly for singletrack, rough, nasty jumps and XC rides.

from 7 years of bmx and switching to MTB i can say that i wish i would have never even bought a bmx bike. To accelerate nicely on the BMX'er u need a smooth track for a jump. Not when u have a suspension fork and 26 inch wheels. U can go over bigger jumps. Watch some MTB freeriding and it will blow your mind with what u can do with 6 inches of travel in the front and rear.

Plus u dont look like a complete idiot riding a FR bike to class at age 19 and being 6'1
