I'm betting it was not much... I layed my allez down cornering at about 30 mph... all road rash... and shifters were the only thing that has marks from the accident. I'll be happy to post some pictures if you all want...

Sorry for the dissapointment. There are some funny picks of people that shot themselves on accident though.

i run on kelly drive all the time. it's usually a really bad idea to ride on the bike/run/walk/skate path, unless you're doing something like 10 miles an hour.

You think those wounds are bad, you should have seen mine! I had 2 wholes in my arm. One was from the spot where they dug the rock out. The description of the emergency room was pretty much my experience, including the irrigation. Blood and saline everywhere. But my arm was numbed so the doc could get the rock out. It was hard to numb it because the novacaine kept leaking out the holes. Then the rookie doc tried to get the rock out with a probe but couldn't get it so the head doc kept pressing on it from underneath until it came out. Also, my elbow hurt so much and everytime they tried to get a good grip on my arm they would grab the elbow setting me off in pain.

My wounds weren't stitched because of all the dirt, the doc was afraid I would get a nasty infection. I was put on antiboditics immediately and when I got home my PCP put me on a heavy duty antiboditic. My wounds oozed for 2 weeks, then scabbed over. The other night the scabs fell off and I got a little oozing again.

Four weeks later people are still grossed out looking at it.

I also had bruised ribs and my right leg had a huge bruise on the inside. There was a bruise on my left hip and some road rash. My left shoulder was stiff for a week and my right knee hurt for a couple of weeks.

But the worst part is that I damaged ligaments or tendons and haven't been able to ride since my accident. The elbow still hurts. All the good fall rides are coming up!

No pictures, the whole thing was to gory.
