Winnipeg, Ratpatrol, The Dump
if your from winnipeg you've probably heard of brady landfill, i'm lucky enough to live a few minutes away from it, but theres one problem , no scavenging, i went there got out of the car walked towards the bikes and some guy pulls up and says i'm not allowed to be there, take anything and that the car liscence plate is being recorded by a camera, yet they have a big sign saying reduce REUSE recycle, i'll call the town soon if it's owned by them if it's privately owned then i'll still call em.
i was also wondering about the Ratpatrol Winnipeg chapter, i sent em an email and they said that things fizzled, Johnny i dunno if you can help me out or not
ps. i'm building a tall bike 26" on the bottom and 20 or so on the top would it work?
thnx

Perhaps you just need to stake out the entrance and ask about bikes when they come in?
The landfills/tips/dumps always like to quote liability issues as a reason for not allowing people to scavenge, but nevertheless, there are municipalities out there that actually do encourage reuse, reduce, recycle.
Good luck on the project!
