Last Double of the Uear

Just finished my last double for the year, the Bass Lake Powerhouse Double. The first 40 mile was flat, then the climbing started and by 100 miles, lunch stop, we had climbed 5,000’. The next 100 miles had just over 7,000’ of climbing. One of the climbs in this section was almost 19 miles long. Then at mile 160 we had a climb of 5 miles at 5%. It threaten rain several times during the day, but it never rained. Some of the roads were not the best roads I’ve ridden on since they were little used service roads in the Sierra’s. My ride time was 14:02 and overall 16 hours. I finished in the top half out of 106 rides. So far this year I've done 5 doubles with one of them being a triple.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Outstanding! A Double was this years goal for me, but physical issues have plagued me this year. Ah well, there's always next year

WOW. The only double I ride is my crank, and that's even compact!
