Hello from Northern Virginia!
Hey everyone,
I've been lurking around a little reading up on people's opinions on different items and I decided to join up and give my input as much as possible. I'm from the Northern Virginia/DC Metro area and I ride a 2005 Fuji Roubaix for now. I will be getting a new bike (or frameset) this off season to build from the ground up how I want it. I recently signed up to participate in El Tour de Tucson with Team in Training and I'm loving biking so far.
I first purchased my bike in the summer of 2006 and used it mostly to commute the 3 miles to work rather than drive. I used to get pretty tired doing this ride as I hadn't ridden a bike more than half a mile in over 6 years. Now I don't really consider it a ride unless I go at least 25 miles. This past weekend, as part of Team in Training, we biked from Frederick, MD up to Ski Liberty and back. That was a fun 73 mile ride and I'm ready for more!
I hope to enjoy my time here and give as much help to everyone as I can.

Hey East Hill,
Thanks for the welcome and the words of encouragement! I'll certainly post up in the charity section in a little. I just did a quick 30 mile ride and I love the post-ride high I get.
Thanks again,
Eric
