Commuter Tires>>I need some new rubber!

Have been commuting for a few months now..Car to train to bike to work. Was thinking about a new bike (Cannondale Bad Boy Ultra urban sex machine) came to mind. Rode one and then had an epiphany...

I could not stand anyone laying their bike onto my $1K frame!

So I am refurbing my 20 year old Giant RS920 road bike. I need new tires and would like the Vittoria randonneur (w/double shielding) tires (27") for my bike.

Anyone know where to get them?

Maybe a recommendation for something close for the road? I like them all black.

I've ridden them myself and like the,but the catalog I have says they don't make Randonneurs in 27".

Specialized has some Flak Jacket models in 27". I've run Nimbus,All Conditions, and Infinity with zero flats. I think Conti also has Sport Contacts in 27".

Several models of the Randonneur here:

They do make some in 27". Just ordered a pair myself, but have not received them yet.

I have a set of those in 28's and they are great tires.

They are also really expensive!! Somehow I dont think a bike tire should cost as much as a car tire!!

I think I paid $70.00 for the pair for mine.

I run Specialized All Conditions on 27" wheels on my bike. over 100 miles a week commuting. No flats to this date. $39.99 each at LBS. Their worth the money.
