Can anyone fill me in on what is going on with ACA? About all I know is that nearly all the paid staff has resigned and there have been some accusations of impropriety. What happened? Will there be racing in CO/WY/NM next year?

Very long story. Short version:
ACA executive director was also and official and promoter.
During the Rocky Mountain Omnium last summer there was a dispute between her (as the promoter) and the Chief Ref over various issues.
Dispute grew and grew and grew and got personal (on both sides). Spread to the internet. Impropriety was brought up, but to my knowledgee nothing was ever found (if it was, it was not publicly announced).
ACA executive director, several Executive Committee members, the NM state rep, and TWO ACA presidents resign in succession.
New leadership assures membership that they will be able to support membership as before.
Interim executive director is Dean Crandall. New ED to be on board by new year.
New Mexico clubs debating whether to go with USAC and leave ACA
More to be learned at the ACA annual meeting in early DEC.
That's it in a nutshell. As an official and one of the committee that puts on the Dead Dog Classic, I am anxiously awaiting that meeting.
Hope that helps.
You can see the resignation letters and other stuff at the ACA site https://www.americancycling.org/default.htm
The stuff on the annual meeting agenda is also up on the site now.
