help with my Elbow stiffness
hello,
been riding my road bike for over a month now. i do 5-6 rides a week anywhere between 20-30 miles each. from the begining i have never experienced any soreness in my body what so ever. as of yesterday's ride (and again on this morning's ride) i notice that my elbow (only the left) is stiff after the ride. i do not notice this during the ride, but only about 30-45min after my ride is over. the stiffness persists for several hours after that.
being new to riding...can someone tell me what is the cause? and any suggestions on fixing this?
thanks!
jeff

I agree with ~LongRider~...Also, Being a new rider , you might even bring your bike to the LBS and have them do a fit for you....They will make sure all is very close for you , and from there make sure you ride with your elbows bent and see if it helps, if indeed you weren't. Some LBS's will do a fitting for free to have you as a customer...all about customer service.

my LBS did fit me...although they said i looked perfect on the stock Specialized '03 Allez Elite they sold me. i do notice my elbows are bent when my hands are on the bars, but they are closer to being straight when in the hoods (??) i will make notice of this and make sure i keep them bent slightly. one thing i can tell you....there are nothing but hills out where i live...and i find myself sliding back on my saddle a lot of the time to handle these. when i am in that position, my stretch may lock up my elbows. i will pay attention to that on my next rides...
any other advice?? observations?
thanks!!
