Here's mine:
Recent upgrades include the Schwalbe Marathon Winter tires and a pair of sealed-bearing platform pedals. Future plans include a rigid fork w/disc brake and an IGH.

I ran the Fire XC's last year without studs and was fairly pleased and just studded up the front which is an XC with the extra "anti snakebite" feature... nothing works that well in deep snow or on glare ice (except studded tyres) but on hardpack and in light snow they work great.

As near as I can tell, the sagres started as a road bike in it's youth and slowly put on weight. It's now a fat "lifestyle" bike. This was somewhere in the middle of it's atrophy. This one started as a road leaning highbred w/ an aluminum frame, 700c tires & trigger shifters. The drops unfortunately made it expensive to turn into a fixy. But an eno eccentric hub makes anything possible. The nokians and fenders do fit, if just barely. I love the control of fixed wheel on snow/ice. The ability to backpedal is gives awesome agility and feel on slick roads. Plus, I love the additional rubber neck effect I get when I strap my HID light on it and do a trackstand at a stop sign on an icy night.

Running on 2.1 tyres at 35 psi offers better traction and a far better ride than the skinnier cross tyres on winter bike #2 and bike 33 is also fitted with 26 by 2 tyres for the aforementioned ride qualities.
Our roads are anything but smooth in the winter and those who transition from mountain biking to winter riding seem to have an easy time with things as they are more accustomed to handling their bikes on less than perfect surfaces.

We got hit with a pretty good snowstorm today in Madison, so I had some time to put my studded tires on my cross bike after I got done shoveling. I didn't get to do any big riding today, but now I'm ready for the rest ofthe season.

It's missing some parts at the moment like a rear brake (need to get a cable) and front derailleur, and probably a new chain.
I'm probably going to switch the bars out for drops, but I don't have brake levers & shifters at the moment.
It's got the MEC metal studded 700x35C's on it, but they're a little thinner than I'd like.
I took it for a short test ride today but the chain constantly falling off coupled with the >50km/h wind caused me to turn around at about 5k.

Ready for snow. Finally got a pair of studded tires (Kenda Klondike 40c) but of course the foul weather and snow are gone for now. They ride smooth enough so I'm planning to just keep them on until March. Not a heavy snow tire. I guessing they'll will handle packed snow and ice and maybe a couple inches of fresh stuff. Mainly I'll feel more confident about patches of ice that linger along the route.

My giant '94 Giant ATX 870, with a pair of Schwalbe Marathon Winters i just put on. Not pictured are the side lights in addition to the front and back lights, and my Ortleib bags, which I just picked up they are really nice for winter.
