yo

heya,

i'm new to the forum, so i'm stopping in to say hi.

i'm from seattle, i commute 20 or so miles a day on my soma rush fixed gear (48x18). i also ride my fixie whenever i've got free time, for however long i can. and yeah, i discovered bikeforums.net because of the SS & Fixed forum, which is a fantastic community. my bike was built by american cyclery down in SF, which is a great shop for fixies.

anyways, i'll see y'all around in the forums, and out on the streets!

Welcome, Alex!

Have not been on fixed gear since a kid. Like it?

i love it. it's screamin fast, lighter than i could ever afford in a fully geared bike, and lets me do neato tricks like backwards circles and trackstands (which just aren't the same on a bike with a freewheel). it's also great exercise.
