That is dang cute!

That really is a small bike at 42 cm.

If it wasn't for the fact that the shipping would cost almost as much as the bike ....man, that sure is BRIGHT.

Any history gleaned for the little gem?

East Hill, Unfortunately the previous owners wife had picked it up at a resale shop, so there is no history from them. They bought it for their son, who is still years away from a bike like this.

It has top notch components, I think the hubs are Ofmega Professional, and the rear cog is a Regina Oro, and it has a Fiamme handlebar, so nothing was spared on it.

Now if it could just find a rider.

This was posted on the roadie forum, so I imagine the OP might be looking for something more modern:

In truth, East Hill, it is most likely too small for you. I am hoping that someone who would appreciate it gets a hold of me.

Does no one here have young children?

OFG's right, those 24" wheels make for a mighty short standover...but East Hill, you most certainly need a tiny hand built pink bike!

My daughter is 2. If I found something like this locally, I'd likely pick it up and save it for her. Currently, she likes Princesses, because she's been told she should like them by marketing experts, but she also enjoys helping Daddy work on bikes, and she constantly begs me to let her ride them. My 4 year old son, on the other hand, likes Pirates exclusively. He will ride his bicycle on his own terms, but if I try to suggest it, he refuses. Like his old man, he disdains any form of authority.

I do have the Rodriguez, but that is pearlescent orange...and it's not as tiny as this bike .

I do think this one really is too small even for me. I know, I can't believe I'm saying that... .

Eventually she will need this bike...from what I've seen of Princess items, they are ALL pink!

I did "a couple of weeks ago", but now they are 21, 19 & 19. How did that happen? Otherwise I'd be all over this bike ...

I'd get it for possible upcoming grandkids, but I should be careful for what I wish for.

Bob,
My youngest is 24. oldest is 30. No grandkids either. My nieces and nephews are too big for it, too.

I must say it is the nicest little bike I've ever seen, other than the rare Colnago Jr on eBay, and this may even be nicer than most of those. I'm going to take some more pictures when it gets light here, maybe someone can ID the hubs, which I think may be Ofmega Super Competizione, based on the Velobase picture.

I'm not sure if Colin Laing still has a shop in AZ or not. I'm going to try to find out a bit more about it.

Here's a picture of the hub. It is marked "Ofmega". Anyone know which model? They appear to be anodized.

I have an 11 year old, but he's already taller than East Hill, and not a particular fan of hot pink.

HAHA, that is freaking cool. I have a junior Raleigh Record in the garage that is one of my next clean up projects. The one thing i have to ask, is what length are the crank arms. One on my Raleigh is bent, and the other has the pedal welded to the arm. So i want to replace them. This one is truly a long term project, it is for my neice, who is just starting to walk, so i have a few years.

Well, I let a little girl around the corner ride the bike, and it now has a new owner! She doesn't particularly like Pink, a bit girlish for her, but said it was the coolest bike she ever saw, and never rode so fast in her life!

I'd still like to find out more about it. Does anyone know if Colin Laing is still in AZ?

Oh, she is SO lucky! What I would have given to have had something that cool when I was young . Tell her that pink will keep people from stealing her bike...
