I'm a nurse and we wash our hands, well, let's say.....A LOT within a 12 hour shift and the winter is absolutely brutal on our hands. That and working on bikes in my shop on my days off* offers my skin little relief. I've been using Bag Balm for years in the winter. If I am working 2 to 3 long shifts in a row, I use a thick layer at night with my hands either covered in a pair of socks or thin white gloves. It works well enough that I do not need it on my days off.
