Cycling has a lot of cool sounds, but what do we have that approaches this...?

You could always get one of these and have her ride on the back. She could tell you how to pedal stronger, faster and smoother!!

Coxswain. Pronounced "cocksen." I learned that from being in the Navy for 20 years and riding small boats to shore from large ships. The guy who steers the small boat is called the coxswain.

For two weeks of your life? So essentially you were a 2 Live Crew for a bit?

FWIW - In the U.S. Navy, Seaman is a "Rate." Rates start with Seaman Recruit, then S Apprentice, and then Seaman. Both men and women can be Seaman. All rates above that are either Petty Officers or Chief Petty Officers. Officers hold ranks from Ensign to Admiral.
Proportionally speaking, there are relatively few Seaman in the U.S. Navy.

p.s. Cool picture!

Had a girl named Susan Stane.
We were Seaman at the time.

I'll declare this the winner, with the 'our wives' comment a close second.

And I knew I'd wake up the Navy guys with this thread. Soon, they'll be discussing knots. And crossing the International Date Line.

Go Air Force.

Cripe, the sound of a playing card flapping in the spokes of a hipster's fixie would beat that video. I have no idea how you get "hot" out of that. Maybe temperature hot. Tennessee and all. I think it gets hot there.

Edit: maybe you like it a little, "kinkay" ???

I love the sound of cow bells in the morning. They sound like... victory.

That video, on the other hand, was like nails on a chalkboard. I'd take up another sport if I was on that boat; I couldn't even sit through the entire video. To each his own though.

OK, maybe she talked a little TOO much, but the subtext was funny. And the emphasis on certain words was pretty cool, especially if you don't watch the video, just listen to the audio.
