Holiday rides in SW Miami?
I grew up in Miami but live in the DC area now. I'll be in Miami this month for the last half of December, so I'm looking for group rides, routes, etc. I'll be in the West Kendall area near Braddock High School. I've heard there are regular, very fast rides in the Kendall Lakes neighborhood. Are there any websites out there that post good routes for getting around? I'd like to try to bike to the Grove and downtown Miami a few times if that's feasible.
I still don't have a bike down there (except for a crappy mountain bike that doesn't count). I was thinking that I would buy an old fixed gear bike to keep at my parents' house, so I've been regularly checking craigslist and ebay for a fixed-gear bike. Of course, if anybody knows anybody that's trying to sell their old fixed gear with a 50-51 cm size frame, I would love to hear about it
