Hypothetical Situation...

Hypothetically speaking, let's say you have this bike:

Then, hypothetically, you are going to get a set of Industry Nine wheels for it:

And let's say, hypothetically, you're dead set on silver spokes. Hypothetically speaking, which color would your hubs be? Silver, black or red?

Hypothetically of course.

This is definitely hypomathematical, because i could never afford anything on this page!

Buuuuuut, if i hypomathematically could, i would choose red hubs and nipples - polished rims.

Well, unfortunately, in this hypothetical world, the rims have to be black.

If I had that bike I would send it to the user known as "BenLi" on that bikeforum that you go to.

Yep, red bits are the way to go; but . . . hypothetically . . . I'd still hate you

Red, definitely. To choose either black or silver will risk incurring the wrath of the MTB full-suspension gods. Eeegads, man!

Since I9 will do custom colors I would say get a blk/wht cow pattern on the hubs. Since yer already gonna spend a grip of cash on the build ya might as well get custom colors.

Red, it's the next best after purple. It will also complement the sparkly bits on the roco and you seatpost clamp.

Wrong color frame, by the way .

I'm shooting for the gloss black . . . with the lettering in either variegated gold leaf or engine-turned faux-gold-leaf vinyl. What color you leaning toward out of your decal pack, Matt - - or are you going to leave it nekkid?

You getting a Blindside? It's a sick bike (not sure if you've ridden one yet...). The only thing that bugs me if the low BB, but hey, the thing sticks to the ground, just like it's meant to

As for the decals, once I get the "final" *cough*Sub 40*cough* build done, I might thrown on a decal or two. I'm likeing the look of God_Speed's over at MTBR w/ the white on raw:

One of my bikes, currently, is almost al black. I've learned that I like to look down and see a little splash of color, especially on overcast/drizzly days. Go with red.

My 2008 proposal packet got to Kevin on Dec. 1, so we will see where it goes this year. And no, I haven't ridden one yet - -I was hoping Kyle T. had his so I could do a side-by-side comparison, but no such luck. Not that I have anything against my GM at all.

What is the final BB height on your Blindside? My Gran Mal is 14¾" which actually suits me, as a lot of courses here have big, angry rocks ready to snag things.

The white is a nice subtle choice. I'm banking on the 'in-your-face' look Got to reminiscing about paint jobs I'd done one my old racing dirt bikes (gold leaf flame jobs, airbrush murals and such) in a Paint thread and that's what got me to wanting to try out the gold leaf again, plus maybe breaking out the pin-striping/lettering brushes and One-Shot too.

W/ the 888 and a flush headset, it came to right about 13.5" from the bottom of the shell. .7" off from the Transition site... There is a thread over at MTBR in the Transition forum about the BB and how no one has really got what Transition claims.

silver hubs/spokes, black rim, red nipples. to go well with the red/black/silver overall color thing going on there.

then de-sticker the rims. and the 888.
