reasonable/quality bikes
I'd like to buy a new bike--probably carbon fiber--but not pay an arm and a leg for it.what experience have people had/heard re: bikesdirect, scattante bikes (via performance), etc.?

Why carbon fiber? It's hardly the choice for budget-minded riders.

Hi ward. If you use the search function, there are several threads on BikesDirect or BD or Motobecane...you get the idea. It is an understatement to say that opinions tend to vary.
But if you read a few of these threads you should have a pretty good idea of what you're getting yourself into.
