New Years Out and Back PIE Route

I'm looking to break the new year in right. "Simple" route from Harrah's, Up Southgrade, down East, Up Mesa Grande to 79 for 2 miles then PIE (50 mile mark) then hang a Ueee and come back the same way.

Minimum of 70 miles and 7300+ ft of climbing
Max if we/you do the whole route in reverse is close to 95 miles and about 11k ft of climbing.

Roll at 7am dress to be warm. Rain/Snow Cancels, Meet at Harrah's overflow lot. Same place you all know.

Shortest route to Pie and back is this

I think Grumpypig is riding up there w/ his club that day but not sure on the time. Either way I want to be on the mountain most of the day. Should be pretty quiet without all the motorcycles and sports cars.

...but that was when I knew it was the PIE ride, and I was training all dang summer for it, with a couple of solo 80 milers under my belt.

I may be sandbagging, though. I never know.

you know how sometimes you wake up at noon the next day and think "damn, i'm still drunk?"

that's probably going to be me when you hit your turnaround point.

then again, it might not be.
