Got my new fork yesterday. Its all good in the hood now. Has anyone had any experience with marzocchi forks like this one? Theres about 3 air intakes and a rebound adjuster, and like a + and a - on the lockout adjuster. does anyone know the best combination for psi in each of these intakes. 2 on the left, 1 on the right.
This bike used to be a blue and silver trek 4300 last year btw. Its changed a lot

havnt had a chance to test it out snow everywhere. when i sit on it, it feels a lot better. the frame geometry wasnt made for my old fork. plus i got a ton of travel now! teh hawtness

looks like Too much fork to me....i would be skeeerd to death of flat landing a larger drop,it looks like that fork and headtube would pop right off the frame.

Ummh, is the bike too big or too small? The seat slammed all the way forward tells me the frame is too big, but your have like a 110-120mm stem on there which would tell me the frame is a little small.

Don't mean to be a party pooper, but I am pretty sure that you are running too much travel in the front for that frame.

uhhhhm. i keep my seat back like that because its more like a bmx bike for me then. if i keep it tilted level then i just slid forward and it knocks around my goodies. the seat itself is not raised because i cant stand landing a jump and hitting my ass on the seat. frames not to big? how can you tell the size comparison to me. im not even next to it. i took the fork to the lbs for them to install and they said that height and stuff would be best for the geometry of it as far as the headtube and handle bars. this bike was originally a trek 4300 so obviously everythings not gonna work out like the stem and such but its a work in progress. im 16 and i make my only money selling things on ebay. one thing a time. thanks for the criticism though, it informs me. thank you

Once again, I hate to rain on your parade, but...

I'm pretty sure I work for the company you bought that frame from and I'm telling you, you probably should return that fork and get one with less travel. There is a good chance the frame will fail.

i got it from jenson usa. and if it fails then i learned a lesson. i dont have the money to return it, or the patience now. i took these photos for insurance too. so. well. lol i guess thats that. thanks for the comments everyone

I'm pretty sure we have some other more appropriate forks in stock that you could exchange that one for. Trust me, you do not want the head tube to snap off while you are riding.

I think the seat makes the pic look weird... I think that's just a 5 inch travel fork, which may be ok on there for a while.. I'd just ride it.

OKay, that wouldn't explain why he has his seat slammed forward. One would (generally) slam a seat forward like that to make a large bike w/ a long top tube, feel smaller. But the the long stem contradicts it...

Did you miss gastro's comment that your seatpost is backwards?

And you can generally get spare/take-off stems cheap from your LBS...get something shorter, install your seatpost properly and slide your seat back a bit...especially if you like to ride it like a "bmx bike".
