Wow... that's a sweet bike. Tell us about the chainstay area. are the stays also Al or Ti? I notice they seem to be inserted into lugs in the BB. Is that true or just a pigment of my imagination due to the difference in colour? Also, the bolt-assembly between the dropout and the carbon seat-stays... is it a pivot like the ones in the stays of some Merlin bikes or is it simply just for joining the carbon seat-stays to the dropouts in a fixed position?

The chainstays are Al, covered with some matte silver stuff. There are no lugs in the BB, just a round smooth attachment of the tubes. As to the dropout and seat-stays assembly, I'm not sure, but I think it's just a fixed join.
