Anti-Semetic Thread in SS/FG - Shut it down now!

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=378283

Apparently, it's a less-than serious take on the presidential candidates, poking fun at most of them by renaming them. While some of the names may seem benign, one in particular is not funny at all, but is rather insulting and dangerous.

Rudy Guliani is renamed as "Jewliani". There is no tounge-in-cheek humor about this. The name plays on the blatant anti-semetic notions of "Jews controling everything" and "Playing to the Jews' interests". I do not need to say much more other than this thread includes a hateful incitement against Jews and those friendly and supportive to them. It is threatening, it is insulting, it adds no value to the SS/FG community, and it has no place on Bike Forums.

This thread needs to be removed immediately and the OP reprimanded. It adds nothing positive and everything dangerously detrimental to the cycling community at large.

I'm not defending the thread, but the whole thing is 100% tongue-in-cheek.

FWIW, I'm Jewish.

If Clinton can be the first black president, why can't a Catholic-Italian like Rudy be the first Jewish president?

Back away slowly Sholmo and put down the kugel.

While the thread is all kinds of stupid it's far from anti-Semitic. It makes fun of all the candidates in equal messure. Did you see what was written about Mr Obama?

If you find it threatening I suggest you order a large supply of food for the bunker and stay there, god knows the real world is much worse than a stupid tongue-in-cheek thread on an internet bicycling forum.
