Rim Tape
I couldn't find any direct topics to answer this question:
1) Is there a recommended mileage interval to check or replace the velox rim tape on road wheels? No problems with the wheels so far, but it's only a matter of time. I'd like to prevent that if I could.

Keep the positive attitude!!! I haven't replaced it yet on my rear wheel, and it's 8 years old and has about 15K miles on it. I only have new stuff on the front because I have a new front wheel. If it ain't broke, don't go looking for stuff to fix. Go for a ride instead.

hello
Your rim would probably need replacing or go bad before the tape will. I've reused the same velox tape over 3 wheel rebuilds. It must be over 10 years old. Nothing wrong with that.

Good to hear. That makes me more comfortable. Going for a quick ride now to forget about the worries. Yeah, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Velox is not on my preventive maintenance schedule. I replace it only when it loses its adhesion and I can no longer rely on it to protect my innertube.
