New Planet Bike Headlights

Looks like Planet Bike is starting to show their new one watt LED with a reported two watt coming.

Hmm.. the white color of the light housing. >_<;; I would prefer if it was black with a white stripe.

Just finished the review. I think I'll wait for the 2W version and also see a battery run on the 1W first. I too was thinking the voltage boost for the CREE XRE LED on the 1W. Last thing I want is the light to cut out on me while riding. Cree needs 3.5v to power. 2xAA = 3.0.

or 2AA = 2.4v if you're using NiMH rechargables.

I purchased their half-watt about two weeks ago and noticed that the 1 and 2 watt models are now on their website, expected to ship in May or so. Only having done one ride where I used a completely unlit path, I can see the need for something with a lot more light if I start doing that on any sort of regular basis. I'm otherwise happy with my 0.5 watt model so far and will probably go straight to the 2 watt model to make it worth the upgrade when the time comes.

How do these compare to Fenix L2D, etc.?

Anyone know how many watts the L2D is?

Also, what is the difference between the Q5 and the Cree?
