My new Araya w ideale saddle

I liked the way it felt so I paid the $120 for it. I ride all the time on my s s schwinn but I've never really educated myself too much on the older makes & models. did I getted ripped?

Also, should I customize this bike or just restore it? thanks for any help!

Oh, sorry about the HUGE pics.

Hello BesidesDaniel, no I don't think you got ripped...the barcons are worth money all on their own.

My vote would be for cleaning up and riding . Check out the Classic & Vintage forum where the rest of the gang will tell you the same thing.

However, we're going to need photos of the drivetrain side. And a list of components. Your saddle is not original to the bike...

Welcome to BF!

Welcome Daniel. Nice looking bike.

Bring that baby to Intown Bicycles and we'll get it in shape for you or give you any assistance you may need.

The barcons are the shifters on the ends of the handlebars.

If you wander the photos over to C & V, the experts can tell you more about your bike.

Very nice looking C&V bike. I love the old leather saddles. I miss the Brooks Pro I had on my Raleigh International. Welcome aboard BF. I'd love to see that Araya restored, very nice bkie you have and the price seems good. As East Hill said the Barcons alone could recoup your investment. I had them on a 78 Raleigh tourer.
