just got my first road bike and i ride it everywhere. i want to learn about bike maintenance and the inner workings of my bike. i couldnt have gotten a better bike to start off-a cyclocross baby that was in pretty good shape when i bought it used.

im now working on my cantiliver brakes and having a hell of a time with it-any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Hi bianchibabe, this is the place to learn stuff! Visit the Bicycle Mechanics forum and don't be afraid to ask questions. Oh, don't forget to visit the regional forums. There are a lot of members in Northern California--if you're lucky, you might be near enough to someone who can give you a hand in person.
