2009 is going to be an interesting year.
First there is news of this Fox is dropping the qr for a 15mm thru axle and shimano co developed it.

More recently Rock Shox(Sram) has announced the Maxle Light.

It's going to be interesting to see what the other fork makers release to counter these.

Also, the lack of a Sunday is going to kill the profits of Iron Horse in Australia for a year or two. Every man and his dog rides a Sunday over here - theyre making a freakin' packet off them.
It's a very two sided argument on the XC fork QR debate. Personally, i think many people have wanted it for years and though im not much of an XC smasher id like it, but i won't buy it.

In the summer at the local lift hill, it's the same here in NorCal. Sundays and V10s galore.
In my opinion, not a wise move by Fox. Limiting people to only Shimano hubs (for now) is lame. It would be sweet it they made the 32 in both the 15mm and the standard QR, but if they go just 15mm, I'm sure a lot of people will say bye bye to Fox.

DT is going to have a 15mm thru hub by the time the 2009 forks are out.
