I don't like to stand, wonder if there is a model with a seat? My flat feet also bother me, wonder if there is a way to propel the scooter without the foot impact? Could use a bit more mechanical advantage as well to increase speed. Wonder if they make something like that?

It seems that if I lived somewhere other than the US I would be clubbed for my posts. And why is that again?-----ohyea, because we are different, and you didn't like the message.
Sorry to invite you to my free space on this site. Sorry to make it look like I was reaching into your wallet. Sorry that your experience with Footbike started out like this!

You are not different, just the same old hustle we've seen thousands of times. It's not that we didn't like the message. It's like crashing a party just to sell something to the guests. Soooo gauche. And now you're whining to make it look like we did something wrong. That just makes you look worse.
We don't club people. It's just a rumor.

It's really a big wheel, missing the pedals and a wheel.

Footbikes were the big fad about 4 years ago. Back then they were called 'kickbikes.' Fancy names for scooters. The ones with big wheels rolled better, the ones with skateboard wheels folded and fit in a locker but hung up on every little stone or big sidewalk crack. Skateboards seem simpler and do the same job.
As a concept, I like this one better.

In reality, I can't imagine anyone wanting one of these things.
On UAlbany campus, I did see a neat looking thing. I don't quite know
how to describe it. It's kinda like a skate board with the wheels facing
sideways and a hinge thing in the middle (?). Its propelled by twisting
the hips. Looked like a great workout and a nice way to move around
a campus or plant. I'ld try one over a Segway!

Reading this thread reminds me of what it is like to be invited to and worse, to show up at an Amway party. DAMN talk about feeling used by someone who acted like they wanted to actually get to know you....

I'd like one, if I still had my sled dogs! It would be a great thing to be pulled on by dogs.

That's a cool photo, but I feel sorry for the dogs! They wouldn't like to run in those cramped quarters, and they would have to worry about the guy turning the rig instead of the dogs doing it. Dogs are better at choosing paths. I wouldn't want to hit a ravine or something with dogs that close to the wheels.
Look at how much happier the dogs are out in front in the photos below. Plus, the pulling angle on the dogs is wrong...it goes up, and it needs to go straight back for the dog's physiology.
No, I don't approve.
But it's still a cool concept.
