So, I riding next to a trolley track. Glance back and my wheel gets stuck. I didn't fall. But when I start riding again there is resistance. Kinda like a flat but without sloppy handling. I keep on riding and it goes away. I go home and flip the bike and there some noise coming from the bb. I wondering if this is ok. If you could not tell from me getting caught in the tracks I am a beginner.

Its hard to tell. Most BB problems are caused by direct force onto it (pedals)
If terrain that the wheels touch were to have a damaging effect, you would have
to have tremendous force pulling the chian backwards against the chainring.
Im sure something like that would have caused a fall.

Also: Never ride paralell to any kind of tracks. You were very lucky this time.

I think your wheel is rubbing the frame somewhere. Probably the chain stay right by the bottom bracket

Check your back wheel to see if it has been misaligned. If its even the slightest bit crooked, youre gonna have weird chain problems and rubbing. I would venture to say its probably a simple fix...

I checked the trueness of the tires and the straightness of the chainline, and everything is fine. So, I am assuming everything is good. Also, the noise from the bb was probably the normal sound from new bearings .

Look down your seat tube. Notice the 4 tubes that run from your seat tube to the back wheel. Is your rear wheel pressing against any of those (or has it left a skid mark on them?)

Also, you can try looking at the nuts holding your wheel on and check if they appear like they recently distressed some paint by sliding forward/back, that'd be a sign your rear wheel moved as well.

Your BB shouldn't make new bearing noise if it didn't before your wheel got stuck.


And just for your own info: your wheels, rims specifically would be what gets trued. Your tires are just that, the rubber part. Not trying to be a jerk, we all gotta learn somewhere.

The rear nut may have moved. I will loosen them up and re tighten them.
I know the rims are whats true but I was looking at the tires to check.

Edit: I have done this and it sounds smoother overall. Thanks again everyone.
