Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Axis Build - Double or Triple?

Ok, stupid noob question, but I'm starting to troll for parts, and I'm pondering drivetrain: The Axis originally came spec'd with a triple crank. Is there an argument for/ag'in a double vs a triple? Whata y'all do?

Thanks, more inane questions forthcoming...
Scott

Depends what you want to do with the bike. If you're racing it the triple is completely unecessary, but if you want to do extended offroad climbs or short tours then it might come in handy.
