I'm the guy to beat.
At least according to USAC rankings. #1 in my half decade group/cat/discipline and #2 in the decade group/cat/discipline.
Utterly amazing how easily you can distill crap results in small fields to something spectacular. Really, don't ruin it by asking the obvious questions. It only gets embarrassing at that point.

I looked at the results of the #1 cat 4's a month or two ago, either in the country or in Michigan, I don't recall. I think they averaged ~10th place finishes.
I don't get it. Some people are up there for a reason. I hope to be one of the other people up there.

USAC must not like me or the races don't send in results. It shows that my last race was in May, maybe the next 15 or so races were imagined. I had a win, some top fives, and a bunch of top tens that never showed up. Maybe I'm suppose to send my results in. Oh well, it's not like it'll make me any faster. If I was a pro and my job depended on the rankings somehow, which I can't imagine it would, then I'd be upset.

The latter. Last year (and maybe now?) I was listed as the top cat 3 road racer in the state ... but only because the organizer of our local spring series was just about the only guy in the state to send his results in.

Sounds great at parties, though. My wife knows better, so it's not like it gets me laid.
I'm sympathetic on race results being sent in. It keeps me from returning. I can do group rides for free.
