locking skewers for your fg/ss - rate em or hate em?

Hello everyone,

I am in the process of sorting out the security for my bikes and I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with locking skewers. Currently my bikes have QR skewers so i wanna change this so i dont have to always worry about locking up the wheels too.

Do they work?? Ive read stories about them chewing up and not holding tight enough. Also which locking skewers brands are good? Thanks in advance
