i know spring will be here soon and i will probably have enough recourses to build it but out of the fear that i may forget too, i make this post to make sure the dream never dies! i am planning on building a bronco bike(front and back wheels) and want to know if there is some reason why i shouldn't/can't or even if i could see some pics of some working ones? (you know what a bronco wheel is right? a wheel where the axle is off center causeing bouncing when it rolls, everyone knows that, silly!)

I have no idea how a regular bike would work. I imagine the front would be pretty hard to control with an off-center wheel - but I guess that's half the fun.

fixed-gear, or disk brakes would be a must.

If you're talking about a bronco bike with a chain and crank, as opposed to a bounce powered bike like an Ingo, any kind of hub brake would work. Coaster, drum or disc.

The only thing to remember about using a regular frame is that you'll have to use smaller wheels than it came with. A 20" wheel with the hub offcenter by 4" will need frame clearance like a 24" wheel.

Actually, that example would need 28" clearance.

I like your technology of the bigger rim welded with "spikes"...that eliminates the need to have a lot of different spokes.
great job from my point of view...looks fun to ride too.

i just finished makeing similar rims, i had to lengthen the rear triangle on a fram so the rear wheel will fit, so i cut the arms off some forks and attached them, the upside to this is i can put them downward makeing the pedals less probable to scrape, ill get pix in the morning
