Is our Government going to Ban Electric Bicycles and Electric Scooters?

I just heard a report on the radio that either there was going to be a very high tax or a ban completely on electric scooters and bicycles. I got so damn mad I thought my head was going to break open. The reason for the ban was because of studies showing that the batteries on these vehicles were too volatile and were prone to explosions.

I think they are initially going to say there is a ban when there really isn't one, so that the tax on them won't seem so bad.

Anyway, I wrote an article on the story on my blog.

Be afraid, be very afraid!

Yes..I would like to also know if this is a state by state or fed thing as I have been thinking about buying an electrical bike..hate to spend all that money then find out I cant actually ride it on a roadway to get my medicines and groceries..an electrical bike here in this small town where I live would be the thing to have..going to ck with the local Dept of Motor vehicles today to find out the regs on owning/operating one in this state on public roads and streets

They might be able to "recall" certain production models of electric bikes that have those explosive types of batteries. If they want lawsuits, they can just sue the battery manufacture that made those types of batteries in the first place! Its not our fault they made them. There's plenty of othere safe batteries out there. Ebikes have already been signed into law so I doubt if there is a problem.

well I didnt make it down to the local dmv yet but this town is so .(dont know the word to describe it) that they robably wouldnt know anything about them anyway..now I have been doing research on ebikes pr pedelrctrics to see whats out there and their cost....reading reviews on all I can find...naturally theres little to be found on the ones walmart sells..found a couple where one person loved it but she drives it around her house..then another where a rear axle broke..while the owner was crusing around the retirement home..both of these were a variation of the walmart "tricycles" of which I would desire over a 2 wheeler for groceries ( altho a 2 wheeler wont be ruled out)..anyone comes across any reviews on the walmart trikes please let me know as a serious dealer of ebikes are like 90 miles away..thanks !

Is this an x-file?

It seems like something Molder and Scully would definitely be interested in.
I heard Mr. X was traveling all over the US trying to get rid of ebikes in his UFO.

Be afraid, or don't be if you don't believe this story.

Personally I think its a load of Ka Ka.

There used to be exploding batteries in laptops. The funny thing is I still have a laptop.

I have not seen or heard reference to this story elsewhere. Until then it is just that, a story.
