What denomination coin will get you to stop?

Spotted a penny whilst riding -- uphill, into the wind. Thought, no, I'm not losing my momentum for a lousy penny. So the question enters my head, "What denomination of coin will get you to stop?"

I figured maybe, MAYBE a nickel. Sure enough, within 20 yards a quarter appears and I'm all over it.

Attributed to Winston Churchill:
Churchill: Madam, would you sleep with me for five million pounds?
Socialite: My goodness, Mr. Churchill... Well, I suppose... we would have to discuss terms, of course...
Churchill: Would you sleep with me for five pounds?
Socialite: Mr. Churchill, what kind of woman do you think I am?!
Churchill: Madam, we've already established that. Now we are haggling about the price.

You didn't ask if it was showing heads or tails.

One is good luck, the other isn't (although which is which depends on who told you first).

Depends how fast I'm going. If I'm just crawling along, I'll prolly stop for a quarter. Otherwise, it should be at least a dollar. But if I'm going fast, I probably won't see it anyway.

Almost any denomination but the "coin super glued to the pavement" trick is quite common in London.

Depends on how fast I'm going and whether the wind is in my favor. Downhill and tailwind? I'll stop for a nickel! Uphill and strong headwind? It would have to be a dollar.

I once very nearly caused a pace line to pile up for a $10 bill.. But I'll stop for .01.

I'm a college kid with lots of laundry. Quarters are pretty much worth their weight in gold to us. I would be willing to stop for anything more than a quarter though too haha...

my eyes are too bad to notice coins on the ground while riding. I did pick up $15 in paper dollars one time while walking.

In Los Angeles any spare change on the sidewalk is going to be discovered long before I happen by. Trash cans in front of my house are routinely rifled through in search of aluminum cans, plastic or glass bottles, or anything else of any value. It takes a lot of that kind of work to add up to a dollar or two. Those same people are going to make sure that there's no denomination of money laying around the street or sidewalk.

One is good luck, the other is pretty good luck. Take care of the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves.

No need, the local homeless have the roads and streets picked clean, not even a stray aluminum can, glass or plastic bottle to be found.

I once doubled back for a penny, and then found another 72 cents in change

Another time I rode through the same intersection four times trying to pick up a quarter right in the center of it, but every time I got close, a car came along! Too much time on my hands, I know...

Over a year I figure I find enough change to pay for a patch kit and a tube.

Monetarily, I wouldn't stop for less than a quarter...but for some reason I just LIKE dimes, probably because that's what a candy bar cost when I was a kid, so I'll stop for a dime. But not two nickels.
Last week I stopped for a $20 bill in the gutter. No doubt at all about that one.
