Course is pretty much half-downhill, half-uphill. Not steep, mind you, but still, that 2% for 1/4-mile is killer when you do it 20 times at 25mph!!

(Of course, I'm too heavy to be much of a climber. I only lasted about 4-5 laps last year. But then, it was the Regional Championships.)

Skipping it this year, I'm busy that day.

I did the race last year in the 4's but I was sick and didn't enjoy myself. From what I remember there were a couple of sections of bad pavement between turn 1 and 2 that caused some havoc in a few races.

Gonna be there. Hoping to do well, because San Luis Rey is the next day. And if you know anything about me and road races...

Yikes. That sucks! that course claimed its share of vicitms today, I guess. Several crashes in the 4's, too. I almost ate a no parking sign and a chain link fence(in that order) when I was forced to hop the curb and surf the sidewalk for a bit after some dude bobbled and pushed me wide.

Crashed on the second to last corner in second wheel, broke a wrist and bruised my quad and hip bone pretty bad. No SLR for me. I'm hoping I can ride state championship next week.
