Anyone have experience with Van Dessel?

I was thinking about building a set of wheels using their hubs, but might just buy a set of their pre-built wheels.

Anyone have any experience with their pre-built stuff? I'm looking for first hand info about the strength, durability, etc.

Thanks,

PJBAZ

Do a search on Van Dessel in this forum. There has been at least one person with the wheels that has been very happy with them.

Thanks, I did a search before I posted but sisn't see much about first-hand experiences. There's a dealer about a half hour away from me so after the Holiday I'm going to call and see if they might have a set in the store.

Check out the "rear spacing - in or out?" thread. A guy in there was super happy with his VD wheels. I just got my rear wheel, but am waiting on other parts before I can ride the fixie.

I had them on a country road bob I rode for a season. they worked well enough for me, the hubs are much smoother than I expected. the wheels built with the vd rims were just a bit heavy if I recall but overall Ive got no complaints, in fact Ill probl be buying a set for my crosscheck this week, either the hubs or the wheelset, yet to decide.
