I finally did a half century today
Looks like the title of the actual ride report is too cryptic
So, to hell with suspense.
Besides, I'm so late to that dance, I'm probably the only one who could possibly be excited about it

There are very few people, at any age, who consider 50 miles to be a short ride. Congrats.

That new Giant is definitely working. That and of course the lightness of the bike and your personal fitness and the "Energy" food you take en route. (Hope it was PIE).

Pie! I knew I forgot something.
I did have a hearty breakfast and on the way back I had a PB&J Uncrustable and a packet of honey gel (Really just that, a packet of honey with added B vitamins). And lots and lots of water.
But, you know, I really have no interest in doing a full-on century (yet).
I figure a metric is good enough and it covers riding my age.
Yes, that Giant is something. My, my, my...

Congrats! Just did MY first half century a couple of days ago (still feeling it!) It was the first time in a LONG time I've done that kind of mileage.
