Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

It looked like maybe a crank or shaft broke? Maybe a chain? Looks like he was standing on the pedals and then dropped, and then he just coasts after that. Right before he flings it, I see maybe a chain dragging? He seemed to be mad at the bike, not the car behind him.

Wonder if that'll make it in the bike ad?

If you really wind up, then release at about a 45-degree angle, you should be able to get at least 40 feet. The carbon bikes are better for distance.
