how bad is this chain?

Alright, so my chainline is kind of messed up, but heres the pictures, how bad is this?

No way to tell from pix. You need to get out the ruler and do some calculations. Measure from the center of your seattube to the chainring.

Measure from the edge of the dropout to the teeth on your cog. Pull the rear wheel.

Measure the distance between your dropouts (actually, ideally you'd be measuring the hub, but it's pretty much impossible without calipers once built).

The distance from the seattube to the chainring should be roughly equal (within a couple mm) to 1/2 the distance between dropouts - dropout to cog. Or:

1/2(dropout distance) - (dropout to cog)

There will be some disagreement on this, but there is a little fudge factor. If it's a few mm off, you can roll with it. If it's 4 or 5mm off, you need to respace and -dish your rear wheel.

Bikes: Tandem Beach Crusier, 1989 Cannondale M300 Mt. Bike, turned cyclocross. 2006 Trek 2200... I hate Trek, but love this bike.... others that are near junk.
