My question of the day:

What dumb ass ***** will Simoni say in the post-stage interviews today?

"I should have won, but the 8 guys ahead of me all cheated."

yeah I saw that too. All the other riders are just "going through the motions"

Oh, and Maggy is out with a fever.

Excuse me, but Simoni is usually on point with what he says with the exception of his
predicted dominance of Armstrong in the Tour that year (was it 2003?).

Case in point: The Basso extraterrestrial quote and the Cunego "bestardo" statement after the 2004 ambush.

Looks like Millar was doing good till the first time check and then either backed off/felt bad/has a mechanical.

Interesting TT course. I saw Rujano in the top 10 for a while. Looks to slightly favor climbers over TT specialists.

Just for clarity, it's that the only Slipstream riders going for it were Vande Velde and Hesjedal -

"It’s going to be a super hard time trial! 18 km flat and the rest up hill. Only Christian and Ryder will be going for it today. The rest of our boys will be going through the motions. We have a long way and a lot of very big mountains to come!"

I'd like to be able to go through the motions like that.

Who are our boys. I have never liked a cyclist just because of his nationality.

It's a quote from the Slipstream DS, so "our boys" are the Slipstream riders, regardless of their country of origin.

um, it's a quote from the slipstream website, just a guess, but maybe "our boys" refers to the guys on the slipstream team?
