Help, My Tandem Is Held Hostage
I move out to NYC from California and I already had one of my bikes here. I left behind a few including my 72 Schwinn Twinn. I talked to my father today and asked if he would take the time to get it boxed up and shipped. He went on saying that it would probably be easier if I could find another out here. So great, my parents will have a fun summer riding around on my bicycle while I search the web for another tandem. If anyone knows where I can get my hands on another single speed Schwinn Twinn or if there is anything similar (solid steel frame) then I would be super happy. I work at a bike shop in Manhattan so it doesn't have to be in great quality. I can fix it up. Or maybe I will look and see if they are still making cruiser tandems like they used to... doubt it.
Thanks

Well, Worksman makes 'em, right here in NYC! Check it out:

But keep an eye on Craigslist, esp Long Island; for some reason there's a lot of tandems out near the beach.

Thanks, I got pretty lucky and found one in NJ the next day and had to buy it. Now I want to get a mountain bike frame and build up another. I hate tandems, they are addictive and I don't even have decent stokers.
