Are the new models of bike shoes released at predetermined times? I want to get some specialized sport MTB shoes but if they are going to make a new model soon then i will just buy them then

Last year's models are sometimes your best bargan. I got some 2 year old Time MTB shoes at half price. Shoes are a matter of comfort. Try them on, if they feel good, don't worry about how they look or what year they are. You can always change cleats and pedals.
