Hardtails Made in the US

Besides some Cannondales, which hardtails are made in the US?

Made in the USA doesn't always mean Made in the USA.
According to Bicycle Retailer and Industry News in June 2007, low-end Cannondales are made in Taiwan - probably by Fritz-jou. Others are welded and painted in Taiwan then sent to the US for assembly.
Your definition of “made in” is different from the bike industry’s definition. A typical rule of thumb is that the country claiming origin has to add 60% or more of the value of the final product, this can be done with painting, decals, assembly, ect.
I've read that the F series hardtails are made in Taiwan.

Not all 08 F series are made in Taiwan, only F7,F6,F5,and F4.
I wanted to know if anyone knows of companies that make hardtails that are made in the US, not overseas, and besides Cannondale.

Ventana.

https://www.ventanausa.com/

"From their sexy CNC machined suspension pieces down to their smallest cable stop, every piece, of every Ventana frame, is painstakingly produced by Ventana. While other so called manufacturers market "Hand-Built, American" bikes actually built by large production houses in the U.S. and Taiwan, Ventanas are truly born and manufactured in the same region as the sport itself -Northern California. They looks pretty nice but what's up with the welds that come around toward the front part of the headset on the hardtails?

I'm not a frame builder but I can say with certainty that those welds (around the headtube) are there for a reason.

As long as you're willing to part with $1000 or more, there's literally hundreds of small frame builders that will supply you with a US built hardtail frame.

Trek 6700 and up used to be made in the US, don't know if that's still true but the OCLV hardtails are.

It's called gusseting, they reinforce the high stress areas with another layer of metal (from websters; Gusset: a plate or bracket for strengthening an angle in framework).

Gunnar cycles makes hardtails in Wisconsin.

I stand corrected; running on outdated information. Appears last model year marked the last ones made in Golden.

+1. Is it functional aspects, or more about supporting local industry?
