Welcome kickerdude.
I just had my 59 bday last month.
I saw an Orbea earlier this week at Stone Mountain. Guess someone else must have a bike like yours. Good choice.
I've ridden with Sam and his daughter around Stone Mountain. You might think he is slowed down by the weight of the cart and his daughter, but noooo.
He always manages to drop me on the third lap around the mountain.
If you two (and any other Atlanta area members) want to try a Saturday or Sunday ride on the Silver Comet Trail or Stone Mountain I'm ready.

.Trust me Ron, you are my inspiration, if I am riding as strong as you do when I am almost 60 I will be sooo happy I won't be able to stand myself. I have a tendancy to go on lazy streaks and they are more common as I get older. Only 39 now so I got a few (20) years to see what happens. There is one guy in our local Covington area riding group that is 57 and you and he ride alike. He too is quite strong and someone I look up to for inspiration.

You both are my new hero's...
I must admit I am looking forward to pulling the weight with the cart once or twicw a week. I would love to come out sometime and try to keep up with you guy's at St. Mnt. Do you guy's do the inner loop or the outer loop?

Our daughter is 2 yrs and 3 mos. He averages 17-19 minutes per lap I think. (When I ride with him he has done the inner loop between those times.)He would know for sure. I think he has done faster on days when he feels strong.

Welcome to the forums Kickerdude. I too ride the comet often but not lately as the weather is a little too cold for me. I also don't have the proper winter gear for riding so I go when it is 50 or above and I am not working one of my two jobs. I live in Lithia Springs and usually park at Florence and head your way to the really high bridge past Rambo. I have yet to ride with a forum member or anyone for that matter. There was a guy here by the member name of "The Terminator" that lived in Dallas and he dropped off the boards suddenly one day. I PM'ed him one day a few months ago asking where he went and he read my message without a reply. Hope to ride with you one day and hopefully us ATL forum members can get together for a group ride.
