a very hilly century
I went for a long ride yesterday, near Mt. Rainier. Started at Paradise, went to Sunrise, then back to Paradise (for those familiar with the area). It ended up being a little over 100 miles, and around 11000 feet of climbing. I've done longer rides, but nothing with that sort of climbing. This was definitely the hardest ride I've ever done. I feel half dead today. If anyone else wants to try this route, I recommend starting at daybreak and bringing lights. Sorry this is so disjointed, I'm barely coherent.

wow, sounds awesome!
(i think) i'll be doing part of that on the 150-mile RAMROD later this month!
lots of snow up there? i saw a good deal doing cayuse pass (hwy 123) back in june. i love seeing snow in the summer, when it's warm out.

I've done 3 centuries with 10,000 and one with 12,000 over 114 miles. Felt good, did a 40 miler the day after the rides. And I'm a fat guy!

Cayuse Pass was pretty well clear, but there was a fair amount of snow still up around Paradise.
Feeling fine today, so in retrospect perhaps some of my incoherence was the getting home at 2am, and going to work by 8 like normal
