Lick my brifters! Hammerhead revisted
Hammerhead 7.0
It's two wheels held together by a bit of metal. Up at the sharp end you get those TT Aero bars with Shimano combined brake levers and shifters, at the back there's a Shimano 105 RD, plus a Sora FD.

Yeah, but with the straight handlebars, it's not as psychologically devasting when you give "the Look" and drop the hammer on other riders...

I'm the slowest cyclist in the world, alas. TT bars and brifters just made me look even more of a poseur than I am normally... :-)

What's with the duct tape on the frame by the seatpost, and also the white tape around the headtube/stem?
It's a good thing they don't sell those mini-bikes here, or I might walk over and a buy a new HH'08

The thing round the headtube is one of those curly trouser clip things that's normally on my leg, the duct tape stopped the paint rub with the old TT bars stored against the frame.

there is a train of thought that says any mod to the HH7 is sacrilege....
but I guess now its ok for me to put a rack on.
Otherwise, the other reason I went HH7 instead of 5 is because THE DISCOUNT WAS BIGGER....

I tried to keep my HH virginal, honest, but it's such a thoroughbred I was coming home with numb hands. Half of me wants to put the TT bars put back on for posing purposes, the other tells me to make the thing more rideable.
I went to the Chinese take-out on it last night though, its first 'shopping trip'.

Nice!!!!! Looks like my Kilometer Track Bike!!!!
I could not believe how nice your bike looks. In 1984 it cost me some heavy cash to have Medici custom build a kilometer track bike with 20 inch wheels and the results are close to what you have with the exception of my bike's vertical head tube and 3 degree seat tube.
Nice bike.
Wish my kilo bike was roadable for those days I feel 30 something.

I've only modded mine by changing the seat to a Brooks, taking the wheel reflectors off, adding the MKS quick release pedals and changing the handlebar bolt to a quick release one for quick removal of bars.
I love the tt bars - I should probably have bought the Large rather than the medium and they just seem to "fit"... I really like the "fold" too - just stick the handlebars on the frame, wedge in place with the seat and jobs a good un!

Not easy to get a non-suspension Downtube in the UK right now. Yan won't sell any til all the FS's in the UK warehouse are gone. What about blowing the budget and going with a spaceframe Moulton?

Can't see her going for it to be fair. Especially as she doesn't know about the 5.0 or the Hon Solo!
