2 Good days in a row!

On my rides (16 miles AM, 8 miles PM), I keep a mental +/- of other riders. My goal is break even - to pass as many as have passed me.

Up until yesterday, I've always been a -. Yesterday, I was a +2, and today I was +5.
Thank goodness all those parents had their 5 year old with training wheels out there on the bike path to make me feel fast!

Seriously, my 12 mph average has slowly increased. Today it was 13.7.

I don't want to be fast - I want exercise and to lose a few (okay, a bunch of) pounds. It's just disheartening to get passed by everyone - folks even older and heavier than I.

One of these days.......
