Can i use a fixed cog on a hub for a freewheel sprocket?
i mean i have a wheel with the threaded good for a freewheel, but i was wondering if i can put a cog on it and a lockring, bigger, than the lockring i have for my fixie..is it dangerous? why i cant? or can i?

a lockring for a fixed hub is left hand threaded, so when back pressure is applied to the cog, it doesn't turn the lockring off. People put fixed cogs on freewheel threads with bottom bracket lockrings and use some form of 'adhesive' like JB Weld to keep them on, but it's not 100% safe.

If you rotafix it on and use a threadlocker you will be ok, but you will need to use your brakes to slow down and stop. No skipping or skidding.

Do a search for "suicide" - what you are suggesting is usually called a suicide hub. Some say is is fine and was the norm for years, others say no way, never do it. It is of course the cheapest way to go fixed if you have an old freewheel bike to use...

yeah, in fact i have and old road bike with semi horizontal droput and i removed the cassette and the hub has the same thread as a single speed bike... but yes i forgot the track bike has a anti-clokwise thread...sob... i'll buy new wheelset..even better.!
