The Curious Case of the Stolen Bianchi in Philly...

Hello All!

I hate to bother you, as I am sure you hear about these types of bicycle theft related misfortunes all the time, but, I was wondering if you all might keep your eyes peeled for my beloved bike that was yanked right from out in front of my house last Thursday night in Center City Philadelphia.

The bike is a:

2000 Celeste Bianchi Reparto Corse
Columbus tubing, 54cm C to C.
Wheels are Shimano 105 hubs with Mavic rims 32 spoke 3
cross
Tires Continental Conti Top Touring 2000
Bar end shifters, Deore.
Rear derailleur Shimano Deore X T.
Front deraileur Shimano 105.
Chain set Shimano 105.
Chain rings Pro Neck USA. 46 X 38 tooth.
Shimano rear sprocket 8spd 28 X 11.
Pedals Welgo 950.
Brakes billet aluminium, PAUL with 105 levers.
Saddle, Selle Royal.
Saddle stem Suntour Superbe Pro.
Bars and stem TTT Parigi - Roubaix.

I had the handlebars wrapped in yellow (but they could be any color now for all I know). The DC # of the police report that I filed when I realized it was missing is 0817039575. I am working on getting the right serial number.

I really appreciate you taking the time to read this. I am offering a $100 reward to anyone who can help me be a sleuth on the case and get it back.

Please contact me at 410-991-5972 if you have any leads.

Thank you so very much.

Sorry to hear about that. I hope there's a special place in hell for bike thieves. Maybe they're forced to ride replicas of the bikes they have stolen, uphill for all eternity... without a seat.

You might stop in with the photo (and serial number, if/when you get it) at Bicycle Therapy, Breakaway, Trophy and the other local shops, and ask them to keep an eye out. Good luck.

+1

Check all the bike shops in the area, there's a chance it might still be hanging around in limbo there.
