looking for used tandem

hi...my fiance and i are considering a tandem, but we have little experience riding and know nothing about tandems....any suggestions on where to get a used one? we're currently in canada but likely moving to asia in the summer - whether we get it before or after the move is unimportant....any suggestions greatly appreciated! thanks

You didn't say where you are in Canada. The wisdom of getting a tandem before of after the move could depend on where you are located. For instance, I haven't seen any tandems around in Montréal, so you would have a hard time to find a used one...

Also keep in mind that moving a tandem is a bit more difficult than moving a regular cycle, because they're a lot longer.

looking for used tandem

Here is a VERY LOW END new MTB tandem that might be of interest.
The price is low enough that you could modify to your liking, move up to a high $$$ tandem, or sell it without to much financial pain.

I actually have a tandem bike in California I bought at a police auction website that's on the older side and in moderate condition. I know very little about the bike, but if you want it, drop me a PM and if you're willing to pay for shipping, I'll have my friend send it to you. No cost for the bike. I don't think I want it anymore.
