Congratulations it is always nice to hit a new milestone and gain the confidence to do more.

Considering it was your longest nonstop ride ever, even the time is respectable! Way to go, and keep it up. The pounds will be jumping off you pretty soon, just to get away from all that exercise.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Nice!
A couple years ago when I first started getting back into longer distances, 40 miles was the first big goal I set for myself.
You'll be amazed how easy the miles start coming to you after doing this first big ride. You'll be at the 37 mile mark on a century someday, thinking back to when 37 miles was the finish line.

How far was your longest ride previous to this? I am asking since i am debating on doing my first group ride this weekend and the route is flat and around 42 miles. Not sure if I am ready.
Congrats on your ride.

Good job. Just did my longest ride also, only 28mi. My goal was to do a century this year. Probably not happening. Took a while to get my 2nd choice of new bike. Then I had to wait for new tires because the OEMs have flatted twice and I didn't want to be stranded.
